Diagnosed with MS on May 18, 2005, Matt brought home a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier puppy named Teddy and made a promise: he would walk him for fifteen years. The Dog Story is what that promise became — a memoir about marriage, family, and resilience. In Matt’s words, not a book about being sick.
The original edition sold more than 30,000 copies, many hand-to-hand out of the trunk of his car. After a year-long rewrite, the revised second edition is coming soon.
A portion of proceeds are donated to support MS research and charities.
